As a Christmas gift I have posted a free download of our cover of a great favourite of mine, Dan’s and also John’s.

FUNERAL IN NEW ORLEANS

It was written by an American named Danny Cohen who might have been labelled Punk in his day. He is amongst the finest songwriters alive but I dont think he has much to show for it.

We recorded the song as part of the Night Parrots sessions but it wasn’t included on the album only because it didn’t seem to fit – being a cover.

I wonder if Danny will ever listen to it and then write to say he likes it. I doubt it since he seems pretty cosmic nowadays – from what little information there is about him on the web.

This blast from the past has just been sent to me by film-maker Sean Kennedy and so I rush it onto the web without delay. Mr Kennedy cut his teeth on this creation. I had no idea what it was all about at the time but I do remember (as the footage affirms) that my acting skills were pushed to their limit. Elmo who’s a vegetarian, was a good sport to go along with all the meat caressing.
