Well I’m getting the shits here. Can anyone of you help me work out how to get a decent sound out of the ‘musical’ saw?!

I know it’s my destiny to play it. I have the saw and a well rosen’d bow. I bend the bastard into the correct ‘S’ shape my internet lesson tells me to (my god-it hurts my arms to hold it very long ) only to get the most pathetic whimper from it! What am I doing wrong??? Can it really be so hard?
