Songs about Night Parrots, insects, airport hotels and other interesting things sung by performers we like. I had always liked the idea of pairing a song with a particular style of singer. Dan Creighton and I did attempt that once a while back for that Australian Idol Shannon Noll - but with no success. Night Parrots also has a couple of extras - an older song 'Family Man' sung by John Paul Young was recorded as part of a new musical play Steve's brother Greg wrote called 'Van Park'. Steve Kilbey from the Church also stars in it and King Curly play the songs live. We should be touring that around about the same time we are touring Night Parrots. This cd also features an animated short, "DOG", which Dan made with the soundtrack done by King Curly and starring the magnificent voices of Dave Graney, Leo Sayer and Don Walker.
